GENERAL INFORMATION
Lodge staff consists of local jungle guides specialists;
It’s possible to swim in the lake around the lodge;
Radios and guns are strictly forbidden (walkman ok);
Transfers and local excursions are on regular basis and are subject to alterations and/or cancellations without previous notice, according to weather conditions.
Here is a list of standard gear for the rainforest, divided into “day gear” and “personal gear”:
DAY GEAR – Carried by you in back-pack or over the shoulder bag:
- Rain gear
- Sun protection
- Insect repellent
- Small flashlight, in case of late arrival
- Camera and lens, plenty of films (100, 200 0r 400 ASA) and extra batteries for your camera
- Binoculars
- Snacks, candies, gum
- Personal medications
- Zip-lock bags all sizes
- Hat with wide brim or bill bandana
- Book or walkman for entertainment on long boat rides
PERSONAL GEAR – carried in your duffel-style bag
- Lightweight cotton clothing, including long sleeve shirts and long pants
- One pair of boots for the jungle treks
- Extra pair of shoes
- One pair of socks per day with an extra pair
- Pair of rubber thongs or other bath-style shoes
- Swim suit
- Large flashlight whit strong beam, for night walks
- Extra batteries for flashlights
- Personal toiletries
